Download Leo for Windows

Leo is in a pilot for Windows 10 or later. You'll need an approved Leo account to sign in after installing.

The Windows installer is being prepared. It will appear here, with its checksum, once it has been verified.

Download Leo only from this page. Don't install it from an email attachment or a link in a message.

Installer
Being prepared. The installer, its size and its SHA-256 checksum will be published here together.
Requirements
Windows 10 or later, x64-compatible (64-bit) PC. Internet connection for sign-in and AI processing. An approved Leo pilot account.
Installation
Installs for your Windows account; administrator rights are not required.

Install Leo

  1. Download the installer from this page.
  2. Check the file's SHA-256 checksum (recommended). Open PowerShell in the folder where you saved it and run:
    Get-FileHash .\Leo-*-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256
    The Hash value must match the SHA-256 shown on this page. If it doesn't, delete the file and don't run it.
  3. Open the installer. If Windows SmartScreen says it can't verify the publisher, continue only if the checksum matched: choose More info, then Run anyway.
  4. Read and accept the Leo licence. The installer also shows the third-party notices.
  5. Keep the suggested install folder (or choose another) and, if you like, add a desktop shortcut. Leo installs for your Windows account only, so administrator rights aren't needed.
  6. Finish the installer and start Leo.
  7. Sign in with your approved account. Leo asks what you'd like to be called, and you're ready.

Updating

To update, run the installer for the newer version. It replaces the application and keeps your conversations, memory, generated files, settings and connected accounts. If Leo is open, the installer offers to close it first.

Uninstalling

Go to Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Leo → Uninstall. Leo then asks whether to remove your data as well:

  • Keeping your data is the default. Your conversations, memory, files and connected accounts stay on the PC.
  • Permanently deleting it needs two separate confirmations. There is no backup and no undo.
  • A silent (unattended) uninstall always keeps your data.
