Getting started

Download and install Leo on a PC with Windows 10 or later.
Sign in with your approved account.
Connect the services you want from the Accounts screen, choosing the access for each.
Ask for something you need done, and watch Results for the finished work.

Frequently asked questions

Who can use Leo right now?

Leo is in a pilot. You need an approved Leo account to sign in; installing the app on its own does not give access.

What do I need?

A 64-bit (x64-compatible) PC with Windows 10 or later, an internet connection, and an approved Leo account.

Why does Windows warn me when I run the installer?

Until Leo's installer is code-signed, Windows SmartScreen may say it cannot verify the publisher.

Only continue if you downloaded the file from this website and its SHA-256 checksum matches the one on the download page. Then choose More info, followed by Run anyway.

How do I check the checksum?

Open PowerShell in the folder where you saved the installer and run:

Get-FileHash .\Leo-*-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

Compare the Hash value with the SHA-256 shown on the download page. If they differ, do not run the file.

Do I need administrator rights?

No. Leo installs for your Windows account only.

Is there a version for Mac?

Not at the moment. Leo is a Windows application.

What happens when I install an update?

Installing a newer version replaces the application and keeps your conversations, memory, generated files, settings and connected accounts.

How do I uninstall Leo, and what happens to my data?

Use Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Leo → Uninstall.

Leo then asks whether to remove your data as well. Keeping it is the default. Permanently deleting it needs two separate confirmations, and there is no undo. A silent (unattended) uninstall always keeps your data.

Will Leo send emails or messages on its own?

No. Leo sends only when you ask it to, and only through a service you've connected with write access. A draft is just a draft until you say so.

What does Leo remember about me?

Only what you ask it to remember. You can open the memory folder from the Leo menu to see what is kept. Please do not ask Leo to remember passwords, ID numbers or other sensitive details.

Does everything stay on my PC?

Your chats, memory, created files and connected-account sign-ins are kept on your PC. Requests that need AI processing are sent securely to the managed Leo service, and web searches go to an online search service. Spelling checks happen entirely on your PC. The privacy page has the details.

Is Leo always right?

No AI assistant is. Leo shows its work and reports failures honestly, but you should review important academic, financial, legal, medical and professional work before relying on it.

How do I connect Gmail, WhatsApp or Telegram?

Open the Accounts screen in Leo and follow the guided steps for each service. You choose the access for each one, and you can disconnect at any time.

Something did not work. What should I do?

Check the Results panel first: anything that failed is marked, for example Not sent. You can ask Leo to try again. If the problem continues, contact support.

Troubleshooting

I can't sign in

Make sure you use the account that was approved for the pilot, and that your PC is online. Installing Leo does not create an account.

A connected service says it needs attention

Open the Accounts screen in Leo and follow the steps on that service's card. You may need to reconnect it, for example after changing your password.

Leo seems to be taking a long time

Bigger tasks take several steps; the activity line shows what Leo is doing. You can stop the current task at any time, and any prompts you've queued are kept.

Windows blocked the installer

See Install Leo: check the SHA-256 first, then use More info → Run anyway only if it matches.
