How Leo handles your information during the pilot. Last updated 23 September 2026.
Who provides Leo
Leo is provided by Dr. Jay Desai as a pilot for approved users.
A support contact address will be published here before launch.
What this notice covers
The Leo app for Windows, the managed Leo service it connects to, this website and the ChatLeo website demo.
Information that stays on your PC
- Your chats and their history
- Memories you have asked Leo to keep. You can open the memory folder from the Leo menu.
- Files Leo creates or edits for you
- Sign-ins for the services you connect
- Your settings and personal spelling dictionary. Spelling checks run entirely on your PC.
Information sent to the Leo service
- Requests that need AI processing, with the content needed to answer them (for example, text from a file you ask Leo to summarise). These are sent over an encrypted connection.
- Account details: the email address you sign in with and whether your account is approved.
- Device registration, because each account can be used on a limited number of devices.
- Usage, so that pilot limits can be applied and shown to you in the app.
How long the Leo service keeps this information: to be confirmed before public launch.
Connected services
Gmail, WhatsApp and Telegram are used only after you connect them, and only within the access you choose. Content Leo reads from them for your request may be included in the AI request needed to complete it. You can disconnect a service at any time from Leo's Accounts screen.

| Files on your PC | Share files or folders with Leo in a chat | Reads, searches and analyses what you provide | Creates and edits files for your task and lists them in Results | Leo's own installation, settings and credentials are off-limits to chat. Flagged commands ask you first. |

| OneDrive | Through folders that OneDrive syncs to your PC | Same as files on your PC | Same as files on your PC | No direct access to your Microsoft account in this release. |
Web search and browser tasks
When a task needs current information, Leo sends search queries to an online search service. Browser tasks run on your PC in Leo's own private browser profile, separate from your personal browser.
What Leo protects
Leo keeps its own credentials, configuration and security settings out of reach of chat and its tools, and asks before flagged commands run. No system can be perfectly secure. If you think you have found a problem, please tell us (see support).
The ChatLeo website demo
- Messages you type are sent to the ChatLeo service to generate a reply.
- The demo has no memory between sessions and cannot reach your computer, accounts or files.
- Please don't enter confidential, personal, medical, legal, financial or account information.
- The demo's logging and retention policy will be published here before the live demo opens.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and loads no third-party fonts or scripts. It is hosted by Google, which may keep standard request logs, such as IP addresses and request times, to operate and protect the service.
Your choices
- Connect only the services you want, with the access you choose, and disconnect them at any time.
- Ask Leo to remember only what you are comfortable keeping, and review the memory folder.
- When you uninstall, you can choose to delete your Leo data from the PC (two confirmations are required). See uninstalling.
Your rights under applicable data-protection law will be described here after legal review.
Who Leo is for
